Amelia Cook, Ed.d.
Dr. Cook earned an Ed.D. in educational leadership and a master’s degree in secondary education (mathematics) from the University of Phoenix, and a BSBA in business management from Hawaii Pacific University. Currently she serves as a Mathematics teacher at Cristo Rey St. Viator in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Cook’s experience spans over 15 years in education. She has served as a School Improvement Specialist in Mathematics and a department lead for a number of years. Some highlights from her profession in the field of education include experiences in technology integration, STEM education, and teacher mentoring. Dr. Cook has worked closely with the Upward Bound/TRIO program at the University of Hawaii and was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Phoenix, Hawaii Campus. She is currently working on writing project based lessons with a math focus and cross curricular integration. Dr. Cook is a certified trainer with the Center of Teacher Effectiveness in the area of classroom management, with Ahead Of The Class in standards based instruction and student success criteria, and with DimensionU in the area of gaming implementation in education.
